I took ART120 when I was at WWU. This is one of the projects. To convey motion & time, I think a metronome might be a perfect example of this.
This is a composite image, meaning it’s comprised of several images all spliced together in photoshop.
In order to make this composite photo, I went overkill; using 3 different configurations to capture parts of the metronome in detail.
The pendulum and its motion

The casing and surrounding shadows
I have plenty of excess storage, so I took plenty of photos to ensure I had everything I needed to experiment with.
This beautiful portrayal of Motion & Time was worth every byte.
